"I've now managed to set up a strict and gruelling fitness regime in order to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge in August. Monday - Friday involves a 5 mile run into and then out of work in the beautiful town of Ipswich. Minimum 50 miles a week means I should lose the belly in a couple of months. Saturdays now involve an attempt at some sort of hill training in order to gain some intitial climbing experience - Suffolk is possibly the flattest County on earth so I think the team are planning a weekend away to find a suitable landscape!

We shouldnt forget the 3 Peaks Challenge is very much a cultural experience and as a result I have been familiarising myself with Scottish and Welsh traditions and past times: consuming whisky and deep fried mars bars whilst practising rugny and choral singing. Whilst the mars bars have admittedly caused problems with my fitness regime, I think everyone has been enjoying my moving rendition of 'Bread of Heaven.' This could be my 'audition song' for X Factor 2008...

I'll shortly be adding a lot more info on this page about the progress we're all making as well as various opportunities to sponsor and donate. However, it will save everyone I know a lot of stress if you sponsor me a HUGE amount of money NOW rather than think I'm going to disappear and stop hassling you! The East Anglian Air Ambulance incur massive running costs for the incredible service they provide to our region. It may well be that you or someone you know ends up being given vital treatment by the dedicated work of the EAAA. This is an opportunity for everyone I know up north to prove you're not tight (people down here say you are), everyone down south to show off how much money they can throw around (this really annoys northerners), everyone in Ipswich to feel better about themselves by doing something very easy for a local organisation, and everyone else to try and out do the people I've already mentioned.

    Thanks very much,
